Over the years sales has become a core business activity. The RIMA-SALES programme trains competences in the field of selling techniques, marketing knowledge, acquisition, relation management. The participant acquires understanding of the commercial processes concerning purchasing and sales.

The exam consists of two parts: a written and an oral examination. During the oral examination the candidates practical skills are tested.

Target Group
RIMA-SALES is a universal sales programme (not branch specific). The programme is focusing on employees who need a thorough knowledge of the sales process and who are active as a sales person or who are working in a commercial field organization. It also provides a good background for those who want to pursue a career in sales.

Enrolment
Participants of the RIMA-SALES programme should have higher or secondary professional education.

Course format
The RIMA-SALES programme focuses on subjects such as personnel selling, communication, canvass for prospects, commercial calculation, new trends in selling, purchasing, distribution and logistics, professional presentation. It also contains basics of marketing. For a more in depth knowledge of marketing however the RIMA-A programme is more suitable.

Classes
The RIMA-SALES takes about 7 months including 24 classes. In addition to attending lessons, students have to study 4 to 6 hours per week. The study materials and the study index are made available well in advance. During classes and exam preparation also time is dedicated to the training of practical skills. Depending on the Training centre also video equipment will be used for reflection.
